While I have been gone ..... from Blogging

While I have been gone....

I was running after the books and completing my assignments. And yes! how glad I am that it is all over now but it is time for the ..... EggsHams!!! I am approximately 17 days away so will be hitting the book again.... Sigh!

While I have been gone from blogging....

I was away in Bangkok with my colleagues for the "once in 10 years" offsite. I have to say that I am really privileged to be able to go for this all expense (except shopping $$) paid trip. This trip is significantly different from all my previous trips..

Diana and I on the plane - AirAsia

We played Amazing Race (Citi-styled). It was really well-organized. Kudos to the RMs of team 1 (CML, LL -sad to see u go, TWK, PC, LT) I mean they did not just gave the locations outrightly, they even had to come up with riddles or historic clues and we had to guess the locations. It was really tough. The first game already racked our brains from only 4 hrs of sleep from the previous night. Some only had an hr or so, after clubbing the first night away. These RMs really know how to have fun and not waste any time (esp if lodging and airfare is subsidised). The first game is "Good is Good and Bad is Bad". Similar to the game, behind the "Green Glass Door". (An e.g Gucci is good but Dior is bad, Jogging is good but walking is bad and the list goes on) Get it!!!!??? If you get it, give me 2 examples

Linda, Lorraine and me outside the hotel lobby. Nice garden!

First location for AR is Lumphini Park, the riddle was a historic one (I hate history!) To find this location was a pretty ingenius experience. After clearing the first game, we just hop into a cab and frantically referred to the map's information to find the first location. My team was torn between 2 places. We resorted to asking the cab driver. He was confused by our "trying to speak thai" descriptions (King Rama..born...place...flowers..trees..buddha...), immediately, he took the piece of paper from our hands that wrote the riddle and stopped his cab at the bus stop in front of the Technological University of Bangkok. Got off the cab and ask the students! Ingenius right!!! Without saying further, we got to our 1st location correctly.

The first to the second location was easy. It was the 4 face buddha in town. After which, we went against the rules of the game to have lunch and shop at Central World Plaza. The mall has been renovated. This means, new shops and higher prices. However, not fully occupied yet. It is the location that has the largest Naraya boutique. It is a must-go if you need to get the latest Naraya products!! I bought over 2,000 bht of items (oops!)

Dainel, Gwen, Andrew and me at the four face buddha! Ah me tou fu!

Third location had an interesting journey, though it is the journey that I always take to CHINATOWN! By train and then by boat! But this time, there was no shopping coz time was against us but we had bird's nest after the exasperating experience of finding the 3rd location. We were too tired and just found a substitute... why? because we were supposed to find a goddess - Ming Goddess to be exact! in CHINATOWN!!! There are like thousands of Gods and Goddess there. See the substitute

The bird's nest was heavenly, together with Gingko nuts and iced-cold chrysanthemum tea! Check out the shark's fin too!

A sumptuous dinner at IndoChine!

Of course, most importantly, thai massage at Health Land, South Sathorn... OOOOoooohhhh!
